Applications are invited for a Permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Biological Engineering within UCD School of Biosystems and Food Engineering.

The UCD School of Biosystems and Food Engineering is a dynamic, research-driven school with a clear focus on delivering excellent teaching programmes. The School has an acknowledged international track record of research achievement across major fields including Food and Bioprocess Engineering, Biosystems Analysis and Modelling, Agricultural and Environmental Technologies, Energy and Circular Bioeconomy

The School now wishes recruit a faculty at Lecturer/Assistant Professor grade in Biological Engineering who will play a key role in the development and delivery of the School's taught and research programmes. Applicants with experience in applying engineering principles to analyse and solve problems in biological systems are particularly invited to apply. The successful candidate will hold a primary degree in Engineering and a PhD in Engineering or cognate discipline.

As part of their application, applicants are requested to submit:

- A 2 page research statement, outlining a proposed 3 year research plan.

- A 2 page teaching statement, outlining a planned approach to teaching and module development in biological engineering.

Salary: 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) €55,951 - €88,601 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
