Applications are invited for a specified post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Psychology within UCD School of Psychology
Applications are invited for a temporary appointment as Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) in Psychology at the UCD School of Psychology. The post is estimated as a 10-month post, cover the absence of a permanent member of the School whilst on maternity leave.
Applicants must have a PhD or Doctorate in psychology, as well as teaching and research experience relevant to the School's current research theme of Group Processes and Social Inclusion, with particular experience teaching research methods and statistics at postgraduate level. The School is committed to research-led education, so the candidate will be expected to conduct research that supports high quality teaching in their field, and to lead innovations in both research and teaching directions. Successful applicants will contribute to the School's graduate and undergraduate programmes, and to research activity within the School.

The School has very good facilities for experimental and applied research and research centres/groups include the UCD Centre for Disability Studies, the Classification & Attribution Lab, and the Helping Kids Lab. The School has extensive interdisciplinary research links to a number of university teaching hospitals and other service providers in the disability and health sectors. We have developed formal agreements with organisations including St Michael's House Disability Services and LauraLynn Children's Hospice. 95 Lecturer / Assistant Professor (above the bar) 2013 Salary Scale: 59,370 - 94,015 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
