Applications are invited for the permanent position of Associate Professor of Geotechnical Engineering, in the UCD School of Civil Engineering. The School seeks to appoint an excellent scholar with a distinguished research record.

The School of Civil Engineering is a dynamic, research-driven school with a clear focus on delivering excellent research and education. It has an international reputation as a centre for excellence for research and teaching, ranked in the global top 150 for `Civil and Structural Engineering' (QS Global Rankings), ranking number 1 in Ireland. The School has world-leading researchers in Critical Infrastructure and Water Resources, and is home to the Centre for Critical Infrastructure Research, and the Dooge Centre for Water Resources Research. The School has a focus on strengthening its expertise relating to climate change, data analytics, digitisation and renewable energy.

Candidates should have experience in the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning to doctorate level, and will be expected to actively contribute to the School's taught and research degree programmes. It is expected that the successful candidate will maintain an active and impactful personal research programme, publishing in leading international journals and at international conferences, pursuing opportunities for research funding to support PhD students and post-doctoral researchers while participating fully in the programmes, academic and outreach activities of the School, College and University.

95 Associate Professor (7941) Salary Scale: €78,333 - €110,623

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
