The Department of Economics and Business at Central European University invites applications for a part-time Department Coordinator position. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, with excellent organizational skills and hold a relevant qualification and will deal with the financial issues of the Department.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Administering expense reimbursements for faculty and staff
  • Organizing and administering visits by invited scholars
  • Handling the company credit card (bookings, orders)
  • Administering timesheets, holiday planning
  • Grant management
  • Other finance-related administrative tasks

  

Skills and competencies:

  • Previous experience in financial administration, ideally in a multinational organization
  • Fluent in English; good command of German is a plus
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • High-level of accuracy and strong organizational and record keeping skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under own initiative without day-to-day supervision
  • Attention to details

 We offer a competitive salary starting from gross 22,000 EUR/year. A higher salary is possible if warranted by the candidate’s working experience.

This will be a fixed-term position for the first year with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position thereafter.
