Offer Description

A) Toxicological and forensic tests on human and animal samples. B) Estimating the biological age, by measuring the average length of telomeric ends and the percentage of short telomeric ends at the chromosome level. Toxicological analyses in human and animal samples. • Preparation of toxicological reports. • Establishing molecular techniques on human samples to estimate biological age. • Design of new molecular techniques for the evaluation of biological age. • Writing research and articles as well as systematic review articles.

Bachelor's in Biology focused on "Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology". -Master's Degree in "Molecular Basis of Human Diseases". -Ph.D. Degree "Elucidating the underlying mechanisms of action of a drug candidate both in inflammation and cancer." -Required research experience: cell culture, cytotoxicity techniques, DNA isolation, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), RNA isolation, quantitative Real-time PCR, isolation of nuclear and total protein extracts from cell cultures, Western blot analysis, immunofluorescence assays, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), use of a fluorescence microscope, flow cytometry experiments (FACs), manipulation of animal models, subcutaneous/intraperitoneal injections in animal models. -Proven knowledge of computers (ECDL or equivalent qualification). -Experience in writing systematic review articles (at least 5).

Eligibility criteria

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree focused on "Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology" and a Master's in “Molecular Basis of Human Diseases." The PhD studies are required. The candidate must have provable research experience in the following molecular techniques: cell culture, cytotoxicity techniques, DNA isolation, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), RNA isolation, quantitative Real-time PCR, isolation of nuclear and total protein extracts from cell cultures, Western blot analysis, immunofluorescence assays, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), use of a fluorescence microscope, flow cytometry experiments (FACs), manipulation of animal models, subcutaneous/intraperitoneal injections in animal models. Furthermore, provable experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet & Outlook should be demonstrated, as well as experience in conducting systematic reviews.

Selection process

Selection will be based on a scoring system with a maximum of 100 points. More specifically, on Pubmed-indexed publications (maximum of 50 points), presentations in conferences (maximum of 10 points), posters in conferences (maximum of 7 points), knowledge of English (1.5 points), knowledge of French (1.5 points), and interview (30 points).
