Offer Description

Postdoctoral research in the development of new enzymes and the creation of a European collaborative network for the development and dissemination of enzyme technology science. Detailed description of the scope of work: Transfer of know-how between partners in the field of enzyme technology from projects already running in the sub-groups and exploitation of results. Participation in soft skills seminars and workshops. Organisation of a workshop at the University of Crete (Month 12), development of a mentoring network between the partners and preparation of a relevant report. Participation in conferences and workshops to communicate the results of the project and involvement in project data management. Participation in the following Deliverables of the project: D2.1 Report on mentorship meetings and outcomes (M36) D2.2 Technology transfer plan and roadmap against local challenges (M12) D5.3 Report on data management practices in the project (M36)

Skills/Qualifications

1.PhD degree in Biochemistry, Biochemistry, Biocatalysis, Chemistry or related fields of study from a domestic institution, or equivalent degree from a foreign institution, which has either been issued by a Higher Educational Institution registered in the National Register of Recognized Institutions of Higher Education in foreign countries and at the same time the above Title is included in the National Register of Types of Degrees of Recognized Institutions in foreign countries, according to the provisions of articles 304 and 306 of Law 4957/2022, or it is recognized by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center. 2. Proven (at least) very good knowledge of English, as defined in Article 10 of the Decree 85/2022 (level C1 at least).

Specific Requirements

- Proven previous experience/working or professional experience (after the PhD degree) in laboratory work in biochemical, enzymatic, molecular, biocatalytic techniques and analytical methods (mainly HPLC, GC, UV-vis photometry) - Publications in international peer-review scientific journals and/or active participation in European or international conferences

Salary will be calculated according to the salary conditions of Chap. B of Law 4354/2015 (A΄176).

Eligibility criteria

1.PhD degree in Biochemistry, Biochemistry, Biocatalysis, Chemistry or related fields of study from a domestic institution, or equivalent degree from a foreign institution, which has either been issued by a Higher Educational Institution registered in the National Register of Recognized Institutions of Higher Education in foreign countries and at the same time the above Title is included in the National Register of Types of Degrees of Recognized Institutions in foreign countries, according to the provisions of articles 304 and 306 of Law 4957/2022, or it is recognized by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center. 2. Proven (at least) very good knowledge of English, as defined in Article 10 of the Decree 85/2022 (level C1 at least).

Selection process

Selection will be performed in two steps: First the applications will be evaluated with the following rules: - PhD degree in Biochemistry, Biochemistry, Biocatalysis, Enzyme Technology or other field relevant to the project: 20 points - in any other field: 10 points. (Maximum: 20 points) - Proven command in English: 2 points for C1 level, 4 points for C2 level (Maximum: 4 points) - Proven work experience, after the PhD: 2 points per year (Maximum: 6 points) - Publications in international peer-review scientific journals and/or active participation in European or international conferences. 2 points per publication, 1 point per active participation in European or International conferences. (Maximum: 10 points) - Interview on knowledge background (up to 2 points), understanding of the demands and the expressed interest (up to 2 points), motivation for the post-doctoral research (up to 2 points), soft-skills (up to 2 points), interest in participation in workshops and other educational activities (up to 2 points) (Maximum: 10 points)
