For a research project on the harmonics of motets in the 13th century, the Institute of Musicology is seeking to fill a full-time position for a period of 3 years.

YOUR TASKS

  • As co-leader, you play a central role in the implementation of the project.
  • You are responsible for compiling the corpus and the quality of the sources used.
  • Together with the project leader and in constant exchange with a member of the Digital Humanities, you will develop hypotheses on the harmonies of the motets.
  • You will publish the research results as part of the team, often in a leading role.

YOUR PROFILE

  • University degree in musicology.
  • You are a musicologist or music theorist with an interest in history.
  • You are willing to familiarize yourself with music of the Middle Ages.
  • Ideally, you have a doctorate.
  • You like to work in a team.
  • You are research-oriented.

The position is available from 15 October 2024 on a full-time basis (39,83 hours per week). The contract is to be filled for a fixed term until 14 October 2027. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
