Research Associate (m/f/d) in mmWave RF IC design for radar-based sensor modules

Updated: 20 days ago

Fraunhofer EMFT conducts cutting-edge applied research on sensors and actuators for people and the environment. The about 150 employees in the three locations in Munich, Oberpfaffenhofen and Regensburg possess impressive long-term experience and wide-ranging know-how in the fields of microelectronics and microsystem technology.

The RF Design group focuses on integrated circuits and systems in the mmWave and sub-THz range, specializing in functional interposers, passive structures, and components for chiplet heterointegration. Our goal is to research and develop new solutions for chiplets and their 2.5/3D integration in RF applications. We aim to enable the integration of multiple radar-based sensor modules on non-planar surfaces, such as car cabins, through optimized radar-based sensor chiplet IP. Innovative heterointegration technologies for 2.5/3D integration are essential for realizing flexible multi-module radar-based sensor systems that can be mounted onto non-planar surfaces. Our expertise in flexible integration technology for radar-based sensor modules allows us to provide highly integrated solutions, making it a central competence in our "Sensor Solutions" field.
