Postdoc in FEL Physics

This postdoctoral position focuses on the implementation of advanced lasing concepts at the European XFEL as a member of the FEL R&D group at DESY. Particularly, simulations towards the generation of sub‑fs X‑ray pulses through various methods are envisioned. The project is still in development and the hired researcher will be able to influence it both in the design as well as during the commissioning stage. The FEL R&D group is embedded into the European XFEL accelerator operations group and you will also be part of the daily operation challenges for this unique facility.
