What you will do

Application-oriented and innovative analog-signal and mixed-signal IPs based on quantum mechanical effects will be developed through this PhD project. In the process, commercially available PDK (Process Design Kit) as well as specially developed photonic and electro-optical components and hetero-integration techniques on wafer level will be used. The complex challenges for an industry-oriented application of photonic technologies and applications will be addressed within the framework of the PhD project.

What you bring to the table

  • Completed scientific university studies in the field of Physics, Electrical Engineering or comparable (master's or diploma degree)
  • Experience in analog-signal or mixed-signal IC design 
  • Profound interest in silicon photonics and trustworthy electronics
  • Result-oriented and independent way of working
  • Creative mindset and uninhibited communication within an international team
  • Good written and spoken German and English

The weekly working time is 39 hours.
