The Faculty of Languages and Literatures invites applications for a

Full Professorship (W3) of Modern German Literary Studies
with a Focus on Cultural Theory
(Chair)

commencing as soon as possible.

Applicants should represent the entire field of modern German literature in teaching and research. They should have an outstanding academic record, a theory-guided approach to literary studies, and a research focus in cultural theory/cultural studies – film and media studies (including theories of digitalization), gender studies or postcolonial studies – evidenced by publications. They should also be willing to participate in cross-faculty  academic research.

Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program.
