Offer Description

Offer for mobility: Researcher in the Laboratory :

UMR 1167 – INSERM - Université de Lille – CHU de Lille – Institut Pasteur de Lille

Molecular and cellular physiopathology of cardio-metabolic diseases

Function: Search Function

Corps: Director of Research, Research Officer.

The INSERM UMR1167 RID-AGE Unit, led by Professor Philippe Amouyel, aims to analyze, explore and understand the evolutions and determinants of the main chronic diseases (cardiovascular, metabolic and neurodegenerative) linked to ageing in order to offer new perspectives for prevention and treatment, paving the way for personalised medicine and longer life expectancy without disability.
This unit is organized around five teams working closely in a transdisciplinary approach. Team 1 focuses on public health and the epidemiology of aging-related diseases. Team 2 researches the molecular determinants of cardiovascular diseases (type 2 diabetes, heart remodeling, heart failure) and team 3 those of Alzheimer’s disease and related diseases. Team 4 allows to broaden these approaches by the structural analysis of molecules. Team 5 is interested in the links between aging and chronic inflammation. The unit coordinates the DISTALZ laboratory of excellence dedicated to the development of innovative strategies for a transdisciplinary approach to Alzheimer’s disease.
The fundamental mission of RID-AGE will be to achieve major breakthroughs both in the better understanding of these diseases and in their diagnosis and therapeutic treatments. Over the past ten years, this unit has made significant advances in understanding diseases related to aging, paving the way for concrete preventive procedures and the discovery of new drugs. It has gained international recognition with a wide openness to the general public to help us live better, longer.

In order to develop and strengthen this excellent research activity, the CardioDiab team led by Dr Jean-Sébastien Annicotte proposes to welcome a researcher/a statutory researcher wishing to bring its expertise in the field of cardiovascular diseasesand take advantage of the exceptional environment of RID-AGE and the campus of the Institut Pasteur de Lille to develop its projects.
