Offer Description
The position involves taking part in a collaborative research project focusing on the impact of biscriptuality on graphomotor coordination as part of ANR funding (ANR-BISCO). The successful candidate will conduct behavioral and neurophysiological research, acquire data in France and collaborate with international partners, and present research results at conferences and in publications. He or she will coordinate the acquisition of multimodal data (kinematics of writing, electroencephalography) and develop and conduct methods for the exploitation and analysis of databases, and ensure their valorization. He or she will guarantee the quality and validity of the data produced and the processing carried out.
Coordinate the human, technical and financial resources required to carry out the research project
Design and implement experiments on biscriptuality and writing, using kinematic and electroencephalographic methods.
Promote achievements and results in the form of scientific publications, reports and oral presentations at national and international conferences.
Contribute to reflection on techniques and methods.
Design and implement a scientific and methodological watch.
Monitor and support Master's students
We are a team from the Centre de Recherche en Psychologie et Neurosciences in Marseille, interested in writing and its cerebral bases. Within the framework of an ANR project on biscriptuality, behavioral data in graphomotricity and neurophysiological data in electroencephalography need to be acquired and exploited. The project involves several partners from various research laboratories, notably the Laboratoire Cognition, Langues, Langage, Ergonomie UMR 5263 (University of Toulouse). Experiments will be conducted in France and with international collaborators in Hong Kong, Beirut and Texas.

Additional Information
Eligibility criteria
PhD in cognitive neuroscience, psychology or related field.
Multidisciplinary theoretical knowledge of grapho-motricity and underlying neural activations.
Ability to plan the acquisition of kinematic data on a graphics tablet and knowledge of neurophysiological methods in humans.
Theoretical knowledge of bilingualism and biscriptualism desirable.
EEG data acquisition and analysis (matlab).
General skills in experimental methodology and statistical analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Ability to present research results and write scientific publications.
Critical thinking and conceptualization skills.
