Offer Description

The postdoctoral researcher will be part of the Paris Porous Materials Institute. He/she will be responsible for developing switchable porous hybrid solids by inserting spin-transition entities into the pores of flexible MOFs (Metal-Organic Frameworks). The switching of these hybrid solids under pressure will then be studied, with the aim of developing shock sensors.

- Synthesis of flexible porous hybrid solids and spin transition compounds.
- Preparation and study of the structural and switching properties of MOFs/complex hybrid architectures.
- Shaping and investigating the potential for shock detection

The Institut des Matériaux Poreux de Paris (IMAP) is a joint CNRS-ENS-ESPCI unit dedicated to the synthesis and characterization of functional porous hybrid solids of the MOFs (Metal-Organic Frameworks) type for applications in health, energy and the environment. The laboratory is centrally located in Paris at the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the Ecole Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de Paris within the Université Paris Sciences et Lettres.
