Offer Description

Recruited by the CNRS within the IC2MP for a 12-month period, the candidate will be responsible for:
- A bibliography study of transition metal materials for sono-electrolysis of bio-based substrates to green H2. (Bibliographic report at the end of the first trimester);
- Development and physicochemical and electrochemical characterization of anode nanomaterials and characterization of ultrasonic reactors for the oxidation of biomass.

This post-doctoral research contract is part of the ELOBIO European project (https://elobio.cnrs.fr/ ), whose consortium is made up of several European partners, including IC2MP. The aim of this project is to develop electrolysers coupled with ultrasound capable of simultaneously producing pure green H2 and value-added chemicals from renewable lignocellulosic biomass including lignocellulosic from wood/forestry and residues from agriculture, with low energy input. The proposed post-doctorate at IC2MP will involve the development of reactor setups, as well as physicochemical and electrochemical characterization of anode nanomaterials and characterization of ultrasonic reactors for the oxidation of biomass. This post-doctorate research will also enable the scaling-up of catalyst synthesis.

The candidate will work in Poitiers, at the Institut de Chimie des Milieux et Matériaux de Poitiers (IC2MP), UMR 7285 CNRS - Université de Poitiers, on a strategic topic of energy transition within the framework of European Union's Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme. The research developed at IC2MP is part of a global eco-design approach (see: https://ic2mp.labo.univ-poitiers.fr/ ) which includes the design and development of active materials for energy conversion and storage. The IC2MP has the working environment (research team, equipment, platform, etc.) to ensure the success of this mission, which involves researchers from the SAMCat team and MediaCat as part of the ELOBIO project consortium. The candidate will work under the supervision of the project's scientific managers at IC2MP within the ELOBIO Research consortium.
