Offer Description
Project title: Cooperative regulation of neuronal autophagy by the Sigma-1 receptor and Wolframine responsible for Wolfram syndrome Project acronym: SIRWOLFPHAGY Overall duration of the project: 3 years Summary description of the project: The aim of the project is to study the role of selective autophagy in neuronal physiology and pathophysiology (Wolfram syndrome, Alzheimer's disease). Our laboratory is currently interested in the mechanisms by which selective neuronal autophagy is regulated by the wolframin-sigma-1 receptor-NCS1 complex. Main mission : To carry out this project, biochemical, cellular and microfluidic approaches will be implemented in the laboratory by the candidate as well as in vivo animal models (mouse and zebrafish) and human tissue samples (patient fibroblasts) in collaboration with Guy de Chauliac hospital. Definition of the tasks to be accomplished: The candidate will perform cell biology experiments (primary neuron culture, NSC34 cell culture, western blot, microfluidic experiments, elisa) to study how the S1R-WFS1-NCS1 complex modulates autophagy. Precise description of the event or objective result determining the end of the contractual relationship as well as the methods for evaluating and controlling this result: Final report sent to the National Research Agency. Job constraints: Work on weekends.
