Offer Description
Internationally recognized generalist engineering school of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom), leading French engineering school (Technological University), IMT Atlantique aims to support transitions, train responsible engineers, and use scientific excellence to serve teaching, research and innovation.
As part of the MeDeMap project (https://www.medemap.eu/ ), which aims to clarify the extent to which European media fulfill their democratic functions, we are recruiting a post-doctoral social scientist in our Social and Management Sciences department.
In collaboration with the project team, you will contribute to the study of the democratic function of European media through interviews with news producers, consumers and regulators, as well as focus groups.
In addition, you will contribute to the project's deliverables by writing reports, participating in activities to disseminate and valorize the results (Blog, scientific articles, international colloquia) and taking part in project meetings (in Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic and other partner countries).

Skills/Qualifications
You have a sound knowledge of general culture (law, economics, politics) and a good understanding of the media sector.
You have a good command of written and spoken English, and are skilled in qualitative analysis (interviews, focus groups).
You have good writing skills (French/English) and good oral communication skills.
You are rigorous, autonomous, enjoy working as part of a team and can show initiative.
You must hold a doctorate in Social Sciences obtained less than 3 years before the date of recruitment.
