Offer Description
The objective of this thesis is the design of a power amplifier in GaN technology for generic use on a frequency band from 100 MHz to 1 GHz. This power amplifier must also include a model that is as faithful as possible regarding its behavior at temperature and under irradiation. This is the central point of the thesis because the integration of a power amplifier into an RF chain used in a severe environment requires detailed knowledge of the behavior of the circuit parameters. The candidate will begin by analyzing the work on GaN technology carried out at the CEA to appropriate it and will propose a power amplifier architecture. It will also study how to extract the parameters of a power amplifier while relying on the work carried out at the CEA on the characterization of technological parameters.
