Offer Description
The TEAM 5 of the BORDEAUX INSTITUTE OF ONCOLOGY (BRIC U1312, https://www.bricbordeaux.com/en/bric-team/recherche-translationnelle-en… ) is seeking to recruit a new Junior Researcher to develop innovative research programs on the biology and treatment of skin cancer.
Labelled INSERM TRIO2 team, which works on skin carcinomas and cutaneous lymphomas, is co-headed by Dr. Rezvani and Pr. Beylot-Barry. This team is now composed of about 40 researchers, clinicians, lecturers, technicians and engineers, with a synergistic interaction with Bordeaux University Hospital teams. We have already developed various innovative modelling tools including 3D cell culture (organoids and in vitro skin reconstructions) and different in vivo models (patient- and cell line-derived xenografts, xenopus model, and transgenic mice), which are relevant for studying various aspects of skin cancer physiopathology, developing a comprehensive, multidisciplinary and integrative project on skin cancers.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Scientist specializing in bioinformatics to join our dynamic research team. (S)he will assume a crucial role in processing, analyzing, and interpreting multi-omics datasets generated from our experimental models and patient samples, including single cell RNAseq, spatial transcriptomics, spatial proteomics, spatial metabolomics, and genomics data. (S)he will be responsible for developing and implementing computational algorithms and statistical methods to identify key molecular drivers of skin cancers.
The applicant must have a strong track record in bioinformatics, with expertise in analyzing large-scale omics datasets. (S)he will develop an ambitious project that complements the TRIO2 research program. Candidate should have or meet criteria to compete for a permanent research position. The appointed researcher will be provided with a support package that includes appropriate office and lab space as well as start-up funding commensurate with experience.
