We focus mainly on reproductive disorders and effects on the brain from thyroid hormone disruption. Our research approaches spans from in vitro cell assays to in vivo toxicity studies using a broad array of methods. We also provide expert advice to national and international agencies on potential harmful effects caused by chemical exposures. Laboratory work may involve methods such as qPCR, immunohistochemistry, cell culture, in vitro assays, assisting with animal experiments, histopathological examinations etc. Other tasks may involve literature searches, reliability evaluations, data extractions etc. Exact methods will depend on running projects and coordination with the rest of the team. Some laboratory experience is desirable, but most important is the ability to learn new techniques and a drive to create results.
As a formal qualification, you must have a master’s degree in engineering or science, or equivalent.
