We are looking for HPC System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate are curious of nature, have strong problem-solving skills and pride themselves in excellent customer service. In our team, you will have the opportunity of making a real difference while having diverse tasks related to the newest technology.

Computerome comprises of a large 50.000 CPU cluster and a 50 PB file system, combined with a custom-built secure cloud environment to accommodate sensitive data handling. Besides the daily user support, the system administrators’ responsibility is to ensure stable and secure operation at all times including the HPC cluster, network, backup, cloud environment and various database solutions.

The job

  • Installation, configuration, updating and maintenance of our HPC environments. We use Moab/Torque, SLURM, Mellanox InfiniBand, and NFS/GPFS among others.
  • Installation, configuration and design automation with tools like Ansible.
  • Administer and support core VMware technologies. 
  • Maintenance of software for programming and parallelizing computations such as Fortran, C, MPI, OpenMPI.
  • Scripting (Bash, Python, etc.). Gitlab-C.
  • Installation, configuration, and support of technical scientific applications under Environment Modules or Easybuild or similar tools.
  • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
  • Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Our expectations of you

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred.
  • Have experience as HPC administrator.
  • Have a solid experience in different areas within IT, especially Linux/UNIX environment.
  • Good understanding of virtualization and containerization.
  • Strong communication in English and documentation skills.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently.
  • Must be a team player.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) or any other relevant agreement.
