Job Description

The Copenhagen Center for Health Technology (CACHET) is looking for skilled software engineers (up to 4) to work at the center at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). As a software engineer, you should have a strong educational background at a bachelor's or master's level in computer science, software engineering, biomedical engineering, or similar. Prior work experience is not a requirement, and we invite newly graduates to apply also.
The job
As a software engineer, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, documentation, and quality assurance of the software we develop in CACHET. Most of our research pivots around the Copenhagen Research Platform (CARP) and the applications build on top of CARP. CARP is a cloud-based infrastructure for digital phenotyping used in our health research at DTU. You can read more about CARP at carp.cachet.dk .
You are expected to work closely with the researchers in the center, including technical researchers at DTU and clinical researchers at the University of Copenhagen, and the different hospitals in the Capital Region (Region Hovedstaden - RH) and Region Zealand (Region Sjælland - RSJ). You will also work directly with patients and relatives while designing or deploying the technology. Hence, some travel within the RH and RSJ regions is to be expected.
Our expectations of you
You need a bachelor’s or master's degree in a relevant field and your skills will match one or more of the following topics:

  • web-based development (React / JavaScript)
  • RESTful server infrastructure (Spring Boot, Kotlin, Java)
  • mobile phone programming (Android, iOS, Flutter)
  • sensor collection (mobile phone sensing, wearables, activity trackers)
  • data processing & analysis (Python)

What we offer in return
We offer a challenging and exciting job working within health technology and the option to help address some of the large healthcare challenges in the world. You will work with cutting-edge health technology research in an international academic community and atmosphere focusing on research and innovation to benefit the surrounding society. CACHET is a very flexible and exciting workplace, and you will work closely with the center's researchers.
Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). You are employed as an Academic Officer.
The job is full time, 37 hours per week. Starting date is 1 March 2024, or according to mutual agreement.
The position is time limited and will end at the latest on 30 April 2026.
Your primary workplace will be in the CACHET lab at the DTU Campus in Lyngby and in hospital clinics in RH and RSJ.
Application and contact
Please submit your online application as soon as possible and no later than 31 January 2024 (23:59 Danish time). Open the “Apply now” link, complete the form, and attach your motivated application, CV, and exam certificates.
