Job Description

We are seeking for a highly motivated Team Leader to lead our Tech4Civ team in close collaboration with the Head of Section. As Team leader you will be responsible for supporting the team ensuring an excellent working environment as well as ensuring all initiatives happens in co-creation with our great partners within the Tech4Civ area.  You will support the Head of section in driving the Tech4Civ strategy enhancing research-based initiatives within the area of digital transformation, innovation, and sustainability. As Team Leader you will therefore be part of driving an important agenda helping to ensure open, inclusive, and democratic organisations for the future. 

Leadership and excellent programme development
You will in close collaboration with the Head of Section ensure a strong collaboration between the programme partners and the researchers in the Tech4Civ group enabling shared learnings and further research within the area and digital transformation, innovation, and sustainability. 

To be successful you will:

  • Provide guidance and instruction to the Tech4Civ Team. 
  • Be responsible for delegation of work and overseeing progress towards goals.
  • Coach team members. 
  • Deliver excellent competence development programmes as well as different projects within the Tech4Civ strategy. As Team leader you will act as Program Director on competence programmes and projects ensuring a strong collaboration in the Tech4Civ team enabling excellent delivery of the programmes and projects as well as ensuring the programmes are a living lab for research. 
  • Ensure co-creation of new tools and methodologies enhancing digital transformation and sustainability in organisations.
  • Assist in developing strong faculty and partner relationships, encouraging strong involvement in the programmes.
  • Manage programme budgets.

Through you strong leadership skills you ensure and further develop the team competencies ensuring:

  • A holistic co-creation approach ensuring involvement of the participating organisations, the participants as well as the researchers and experts delivering the content.
  • An experimental mindset, creating the space for trying out different methodologies in agreement with the partners involved.
  • Great facilitating skills creating a safe and open learning space where both participants and speakers are given the best opportunities to build a shared language.
  • A thorough understanding of change process’ in organisations.
  • Proven leadership skills helping others embrace vulnerability and the courage to be who they are.

Your role and our expectations
You are a positive person with strong leadership skills having a clear focus on coaching and supporting people empowering them to perform their best. Through your leadership you ensure an open and collaborative work environment where vulnerability, learnings as well as seeing the best in others are key factors. 

You have a master’s degree-level education. Preferable you have experience from HR, organisational development, business education or higher education. Former experience as a leader is a must.  

You need to have: 

  • Strong organisational as well as communication skills. 
  • Cross-disciplinary understanding. 
  • Interest and curiosity in Digital transformation as well as an experimental mindset.
  • Thrive in being part of a team where co-creation and collaboration is a must.
  • Respect for the organisation you work in as well as the organisation you work with.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. You will be employed as Senior Executive Officer with HR responsibilities.

The position is based on the Tech4Civ strategy founded by PhD student and Head of Section Anja Mie Weile and Professor & Director Jan Madsen. Tech4Civ is DTU’s vision for ensuring inclusive, democratic, and open societies by empowering citizens to understand and engage in the digital transformation and its impact for society. Through a novel approach combining research, competence development, scientific advisory, and innovation initiatives, the Tech4Civ Group drives the development of a digital mindset ensuring that contemporary laws and new tech solutions are co-created, based on a sustainable and ethical understanding.  The Tech4Civ group is cross-disciplinary with a focus on building bridges between the different sectors.
