Assistant Professor of the Department of Physiology of the Faculty of Medicine MU

with shorter working hours (8 hours per week)

The Department of Physiology is an educational and research workplace of the Medical Faculty of MU. Provides teaching of students in theoretical and preclinical fields.

The workplace: Brno, the Czech Republic

The scope of your work will be:

• participation in theoretical and practical teaching at the workplace
• preparation of study and teaching materials for teaching undergraduate students
• participation in the education of students in doctoral programmes
• independent research and development activities, including submitting grant applications, publishing and presenting research results
• contribution to the organisational support of research and teaching activities, including related administration

Required qualification:

• a university degree in medicine or pharmacy, or an equivalent degree obtained abroad
• completed education in a doctoral programme in Pharmacology/Toxicology or specialised competence according to Act No 95/2004 Coll. (doctors, dentists and pharmacists) or Act No 96/2004 Coll. (non-medical health professions)
• experience in the field, teaching experience in medical physiology (including practice)
• ability to work independently in a professional and scientific capacity, including above-average publication activity in journals with an impact factor
• active approach in grant applications (national, international)
• active domestic and international collaboration
• ability to participate actively in international conferences or professional seminars
• active knowledge of the English language, including the ability to teach medical physiology fluently in English
• active attitude, initiative, continuing education including teaching
• civic and moral integrity
