Salary Tariff:Assistant professors at universities, AP2
Expertise:Theoretical and evolutionary biology with a focus on the evolution of evolvability, macroevolutionary trends in contemporary and historical context and general features of the evolutionary process.

Qualification and Other Requirements:

Ph.D. in Theoretical and Evolutionary Biology, expertise in the field of evolutionary biology in both contemporary and historical contexts and generally in macroevolutionary themes, knowledge of developmental-evolutionary biology, selection and sorting at various levels of the biological hierarchy, and remaining fields summarized under the extended synthesis. Publication activity in the field of evolutionary and theoretical biology. The candidate should be proficient in basic statistical data processing and working in the R language, synthetic and comparative work with a large number of sources including historical ones, fluent in English and have basic skills in at least one other non-native language.

Required education:Ph.D., CSc, Th.D. or comparable education abroad

  • Czech - C2 Proficient User
Employment Type and Scope:Full time employment, 40 hours per week
Expected Start Date:July 01, 2024 or negotiable
Term contract:3 years
