Software Developer in Unix/Linux environments

The Cyprus Institute invites applications for a highly qualified and motivated individual to join the Institute as a Software Developer in UNIX/Linux environments. The successful candidate will coordinate activities relating to software development for imaging, primarily medical in research activities of the Institute. Parallel programming for CPU and GPU clusters with emphasis on massive code production capable to run on petascale facilities is the main objective of the project.

The successful candidate will be developing UNIX/Linux based programs using the latest software development tools, techniques and approaches and he /she will closely collaborate with other leading experts in the field. Detailed modular code organization and documentation belong to the main developing activities. The successful candidate will have to prepare deliverables, scientific and technical reports related to the project outputs.

Responsibilities/activities to be involved in:

  • Responsible for Software development for medical imaging
  • Parallel programming for CPU and GPU clusters
  • Development of UNIX/Linux based programs
  • Maintain close collaboration with other leading experts in the field
  • Organization and documentation of detailed modular code
  • Preparation of deliverables, scientific and technical reports related to the project
