Persuant to Article 40. of the Higher Education and Science Act (Official Gazette No. 119/22) and Annex 4. Program Contract (Urbroj:810/23) and decisions of the Scientific Council  of 1/16/2024,  Director Vida Vukoja, Ph.D. makes the following

 

JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

 

1.      working position – research associate:

a)      sholarly field: humanities, subfield: filology; permanent working position with the obligation of conducting the process of re-election or election to a higher working position; full-time

-          1 person

Advantage: PhD thesis in the field of the (Croatian) Church Slavonic grammar; scholarly publications based on the research of the (Croatian) Church Slavonic grammar.

 

b) sholarly field: humanities, subfield: interdisciplinary humanities; Medieval studies; permanent working position with the obligation of conducting the process of re-election or election to a higher working position; full-time.

-          1 person

Advantage: PhD thesis in the field of the paleography of Croatian Glagolitic heritage; scholarly publications based on the paleographic research of the Croatian Glagolitic heritage.

 

Requirements: In addition to the general legal conditions required for employment, applicants must meet additional requirements of the Higher Education and Science Act and of the Rulebook on selection into scientific professions (Official Gazette No. 28/17, 72/19, 21/21, 111/22).

 Candidates need to submit, attached to their signed application:

-          CV;

-          diploma copies: of completed postgraduate university studies

-          list of published scholarly works and other evidence to support possible claimed advantage

-          for the positions under 1.a) and b) it is necessary to submit the works specified in the Rulebook on the conditions for selection into scientific positions in pdf format, and if the applicants have been selected to the scientific position of scientific associate, they have to submit the certificate of selection. The deadline for submitting applications is 30 days from the publication of the job vacancy in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia (24.1.2024.). Applications should be sent exclusively in an electronic form, in a unified document in pdf format, to this e-mail address: [email protected] , with the indication: »For the competition« and working position reference. This tender is anounced on the Old Church Slavonic Institute web-site and the job web-portal of the European research programme (EURAXESS).

Applicants (f/m) who are entitled to employment priority in accordance with Article 102 of the Act on the Rights of Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their Family Members (Official Gazette 121/17, 198/19, 84/21 and 156/23) and Article 9 of the The Law on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Disabled Persons (Official Gazette 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, 32/20) have an advantage over the other candidates only under the same conditions.

Applicants (f/m) who are entitled to employment priority in accordance with Article 9 of the of the The Law on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Disabled Persons besides the application with the evidence of the fulfilment of the required conditions, need to attach evidence of the relevant state of disablement.
Applicants (f/m) who are entitled to employment priority in accordance with Article 48. of the Act on the Protection of Military Personnel and Civilians Disabled in War (NN 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 13/03, 148/13, 98/19), besides the application with the evidence of the fulfilment of the required conditions, need to attach evidence of the relevant state.

Foreign citizens must attach the proof of the command of the Croatian language (C2) according to the Common Framework of Reference for languages, the certificate of recognition of foreign higher education qualifications issued by the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education. Incomplete and late applications will not be taken into consideration.
The applicants will be notified on the results of the competition within 15 days from the date of the decision-making on the selection, in written form and at the Old Church Slavonic Institute web-site: www.stin.hr .
