Along with general conditions determined by Labor Law (Zakon o radu, NN 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, 64/23) the candidates must fulfill the conditions of the Law on higher education and scientific activity (Zakon o visokom obrazovanju i znanstvenoj djelatnosti NN 119/22) and Decisions on the necessary conditions for the evaluation of teaching and scientific-professional activities in the selection process for scientific-teaching professions (Odluke o nužnim uvjetima za ocjenu nastavne i znanstveno-stručne djelatnosti u postupku izbora u znanstveno-nastavna zvanja NN 122/17, 120/21)

The applicants should submit with application: curriculum vitae; applicants who are foreign citizens the proof of Croatian language knowledge (C2 advanced knowledge); the copies of the relevant diplomas; the list of their scientific, educational and professional activities (; the list of scientific papers; the scientific papers or separates of the papers relevant for the selection, other relevant documentation necessary for eligibility for the tender -  in accordance with valid acts), proof of election to a scientific title (if applicable) and proof of acquired work experience.

Applicants who have gained required educational qualifications outside Croatia should submit the decision issued by the competent Croatian authority on the recognition of foreign educational qualifications.

Eligibility criteria

Croatian language obligatory. For applicants without Croatian citizenship, it is necessary to enclose proof of Croatian language knowledge in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C2 advanced knowledge).

Selection process

A candidate in the application procedure is considered to be a person who has submitted an orderly, complete and timely job application, together with all required documents, and who fully meets all the conditions of the job advertisement.

Applicants who meet the formal conditions of the competition will be interviewed. If the applicant does not participate in the interview it will be considered that he has withdrawn his application for the competition.

Applicants who, on the basis of special regulations - Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette 121/17, 98/19, 84/21  and 156/23), Art. 48.f of the Law on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (OG 33/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103 /03, 148/13 and 98/19), Art. 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, 32/20), Art. 48 of the Law on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette 84/21), Art. 22 of the Constitutional Law on the Rights of National Minorities (Official Gazette 155/02, 47/10, 80/10 and 93/11) call for the right of priority in employment, they are obliged to refer to that right in the application for the competition, and to attach all the evidence that special regulations prescribe for exercising that right. Such entrants gain an advantage in employment compared to other entrants, only under equal conditions.
