Position Summary:
Undergraduate Course Assistants (UCAs) for 315 will be required to provide in-person laboratory demonstrations using pre-dissected cadaveric specimens (prosections) as well as supervise and guide students through the dissection of the lower extremity. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to teach/discuss human anatomy as it relates to the musculoskeletal system. Extensive knowledge in gross anatomy with knowledge in functional and clinical anatomy is expected. UCAs will be responsible for conducting the laboratory demonstrations, reinforcing the Anatomy Lab Code of Conduct and ensuring that students are respectful to one-another during lab sessions. UCAs are also responsible for laboratory set-up and clean-up. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills are an asset.
Qualifications:

Having taken and passed ANAT 315, or another course equivalent is required. Holding a past course assistant in ANAT 315/314 is a strong asset. Other prior teaching experience in dissection- or prosection-based cadaveric laboratories is an additional asset. UCAs should demonstrate leadership skills and exhibit proven coordination and management skills. Prior study in gross anatomy related to musculoskeletal anatomy is required, including laboratory experience with cadaver specimens. Proven organizational skills with attention to details and accuracy.

Effective communication skills in English (spoken and written) are essential.
