Total Hours of Work per Term:
90 hours per TA

Position Summary:
Attendance at class lectures and small group tutorial sessions.   Providing individualized assistance to students having difficulty with the course material.  Responding to emails from students needing information or assistance. Guiding undergraduate students participating in the Tomlinson Engagement Award for Mentoring (TEAM) project.  Organizing and monitoring some small group tutorials involving TEAM participants.

Qualifications:
Graduate student with demonstrated knowledge of the course material.  Must have sufficient command of English to be able to help both Canadian and international students.  Very good communication skills and attention to detail.  Previous experience with large classes in biomedical science is an asset.  Applicants may be interviewed.

Please note that given the current circumstances related to the pandemic and the resumption of certain in-person teaching activities, some Teaching Assistant tasks for this course may be performed remotely or in person. The Teaching Assistant may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] and the McGill myCourses learning management system.
