SAIT’s Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) focuses on non-credit programs supporting corporate training, the individual learner and international projects. We create courses and programs for life-long learning with careers at our core. Our courses range from exploring general interests to up-skilling for career advancement and reskilling for career changes. We complete all background activities required to set up our products for students to purchase and experience several delivery options.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Talent the IT and Digital Talent Coordinator is an expert in recruitment practices, managing full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and supervision of instructional talent resources from job description creation through to candidate payment and offboarding. As an influential, service focused, and innovative team member you will advise on and execute the securing of instructional solutions for Individual Learners and Domestic and International cohort based learners, while balancing high-volume staffing needs and developing future candidate pipelines. Additionally, you will be the SAIT and Centre of Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) ambassador for our new instructional employees, ensuring a positive and professional experience joining SAIT and prepare each new hire to teach with thorough orientation and training support.
As the instructional resources will report to the Talent Team, the Talent Coordinator will execute activities in support in employee management including setting deliverables expectations, approving hours of work, processing payment, providing stakeholder feedback, informally coaching on instructional improvement, recommending training and development opportunities, and completed associated administration related to instructional scheduling and expenses documentation. 
Note: This is a 1-year temp contract.
The Role
    • Develops expert business knowledge of instructional talent of various programs within the IT and Digital industry area
    • Manages full-cycle recruitment for casual, contract instructional hiring, including: posting job opportunities, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens and interviews, making hiring decisions, administering background and reference checks, negotiating offers, and onboarding candidates 
    • Manages instructional hiring manager support duties, including: scheduling work and setting deliverables expectations, approving hours and processing payment, providing feedback, identifying and supporting training and development
    • Ensures an outstanding partnership experience with SAIT and CDARI 
    • Develops and maintains a pool of qualified instructors for identified product lines
    • Utilizes various digital platforms to market SAIT’s brand and job opportunities, as well as to manage instructor pay details and schedules.
    • Provides expert guidance on recruitment best practices and operates in alignment with SAIT and CEPS procedures and policies, including those defined by the respective labour unions. 
    • Keeps up to date on trends in sourcing and selection
    • Collaborates with all areas of Employee Services to ensure success cross divisionally
    • Participates in process improvement and other projects as needed

Qualifications
    • Post-secondary diploma in relevant area (HR, Business, Management Administration); a Degree is preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT recruitment or HR Generalist positions with a focus on IT professional support; experience in a post-secondary institute, or within a unionized environment is an asset.
    • A CPHR designation is an asset.
    • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment with a high volume of requisitions
    • Knowledge of current recruitment best practices, including those related to equity, diversity and inclusion.
    • Very strong technical proficiency with HRIS and ATS systems, preferably Banner ERP and Lever ATS.
    • Self-driven with a strong sense of urgency, resourcefulness and ability to work independently and manage own schedule.
    • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
    • Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Agile mindset and able to pivot in an evolving environment; with a mindset for continuous improvement.
    • Able to build strong connections and relationships with client groups across the organization.

Salary Range: $68,432 - $78,166.00
Hours per week: 40hrs
