Detailed Job Description

Reporting to the Tech Supervisor, this position is a member of the team responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Heavy Equipment program including supplies, tools and equipment inventories.  The position will support other programs in the department as required. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor counter requirements and provide tools and supplies to staff and students
  • Receive incoming goods and handle all necessary paperwork
  • Clean, maintain and organize stock, tools and supplies including shelving, counters, and tool storage located in various shops/labs.
  • Make minor repairs to precision and power tools or arrange for professional repair or replacement as require through the established processes
  • Maintain updates on diagnostic equipment
  • Order parts and supplies based on program needs and inline with established processes
  • Providing and maintaining scheduled inventory counts as required.
  • Training, organizing workflow, follow-up with, and guidance to the support team members.
  • Ensuring all duties performed are in alignment with all of applicable audit standards
  • Other administrative duties as required

  • Knowledge of computers and use of Microsoft suite of programs
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.  
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack and flatbed trolley.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of high diploma
  • Experience in various phases of stockroom, storage yard and/or stock warehouse work
  • Forklift training an asset
  • Valid Drivers license required
  • Flexible work hours may be required
  • Relevant course work an asset
  • Experience with related administrative duties
  • Equivalencies may be considered

 

Remuneration: $49,756.72 - $62,106.46 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification – Stockkeeper ll 40).                           

This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
