Job description
Innovative and creative scientists are invited to apply for several faculty positions in the Regenerative Medicine Program at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.
We are searching for outstanding scientists to establish and build internationally competitive research programs in stem cell and regenerative medicine research. We are interested in all aspects of stem cell biology ranging from molecular regulation of stem cell function, transcription, epigenetics, omics, signaling, cell-cell interactions, human stem cell biology, organoid models, tissue-specific stem cells, regeneration, pluripotency and reprogramming, aging, and the application of stem cells in disease modeling and regenerative medicine, and their translation to novel regenerative therapies.
The successful candidates will join an exciting multidisciplinary group of biomedical investigators at the OHRI that includes molecular biologists, cell biologists, bioinformaticists, and clinician-researchers. The labs will be in the Sprott Centre for Stem Cell Research which contains fully equipped laboratories together with genomic, proteomic, imaging, cell sorting, iPSC/genome editing, and clinical-grade GMP manufacturing facilities.
The successful candidates will be appointed as a Scientist at the OHRI and cross-appointed as Assistant Professors in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa.

Basic Requirements (Education/Experience) :
Candidates must have a Ph.D., MD, or equivalent degree and postdoctoral experience demonstrating outstanding achievement in their field. The successful candidate will have an interest in working in a multidisciplinary environment to address important questions in stem cell and/or regenerative medicine research.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be expected to conduct a vigorous program of independent, externally funded research, teaching at the graduate level, attract excellent trainees, students, and future researchers, and work in a highly collaborative environment.
