Department of Biology (Professor Alanna Watts)

Position Summary:

• In vivo stereotactic viral injections in transgenic mice;
• Chemogenetics (administration of drugs);
• Electrophysiology (recording cellular activity);
• Mouse behaviour (with and without chemogenetic intervention);
• Running complex experiments;
• Data analysis & interpretation;
• Producing manuscript-quality figures & writing manuscript.

Qualifications:

• Attention to detail;
• Flexible schedule;
• Experience working with live animals

   

Experience and education:

• Six years experience working in a lab an asset
• Experience with electrophysiology;
• Experience with recovery stereotactic surgery;
• Experience with animal behaviour
