Your opportunity:

Working under the Associate Director, Global & Experiential Learning, the Program Manager is responsible for meeting program objectives by managing delivery of global and experiential programs to the MBA students. Working with a dynamic team, you will be dedicated to the enrichment of the curricular and co-curricular programs, focused on global and experiential learning opportunities for students.

The Program Manager is responsible for all aspects of operational workflow planning and management working closely with the program staff to align the academic programming with the administrative and program support function as well as with quality client service. The Program Manager’s responsibilities will include the planning and support for the delivery of all extra-curricular and co-curricular, pre-program events and activities, orientation and in-program events and guest speakers.

As the Program Manager, Global & Experiential Learning your rolewill be developing, coordinating, executing, and evaluating programs delivered to students to help students broaden their skill set, develop a global mindset and gain valuable experience. You will coordinate programs in locations around the world as well as help curate courses with external partners, organizations and institutions to deliver a unique learning experience for MBA students, co-curricular initiatives and events. This will involve creating and delivering workshops to enhance the student experience, and will assume responsibility for ongoing planning, development, and management of experiential learning strategies that engage students in co-curricular involvement at the University of Toronto.

The Program Manager will liaise with counter parts providing program services to other Rotman student populations ensuring that the program interests, needs and schedules are well represented in planning and delivering services. TheProgram Manager also assumes responsibility for the development and updating of all communication materials including the student communications, newsletters and the coordination of regular updates to this material and the Student Directories. The incumbent ensures that the website and online student resources are updated in a timely manner, again liaising with staff and faculty as appropriate to ensure a coordinated communications delivery. The Program Manager will provide support to faculty members at Rotman and internationally, assemble course materials, assist them with their teaching needs to help manage the classroom experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operational needs and service delivery requirements of programs
  • Acting as the first point of contact for program-related enquiries
  • Working closely with the Associate Directors, Global & Experiential and Academic Directors to deliver an exceptional program
  • Advising students on academic and/or financial matters by providing options and consequences incorporating personal circumstances impacting academic success and an understanding of an individual's background.
  • Determining a logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
  • Organizing, summarizing and circulating program and/or course evaluations
  • Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements
  • Coordinating the preparation and distribution of program and/or course material

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years related administrative experience in planning, organizing and managing programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting program and course planning, and academic program delivery especially in global settings
  • Experience with online learning tools and event management.
  • Experience and sound knowledge of best practices in advising and student services
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure and high-volume service-orientedenvironment, with a demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and focus on attention todetail
  • Demonstrated high level of customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to speak in large group settings
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet different deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • High customer service skills with sensitivity to various levels of expectation from corporate executives, faculty, staff and suppliers
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated working knowledge of computer software andproducts, online textbooks as well as MS Office

This will be a 12-month term opportunity. Please note that this position is required to travel to support programs. This position will need to be able to travel domestically and internationally.

USW Pay Band 12 -- $78,308 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $100,144. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
