Job Summary & Key Responsibilities | To teach GWST 1010.03: Introduction to Gender & Women’s Studies, currently scheduled for In-Person delivery on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 0835-0955, in the Fall Term (September-December 2024). The part-time academic’s duties include responsibility for planning the course in conjunction with the Coordinator, teaching the class, evaluating the students, holding regular office hours, and administration relating to the class. The part-time academic must be available for consultation with students outside of class times 2 hours per week. This position will report to the Coordinator of Gender and Women’s Studies. Note: This class will have teaching assistant support based on enrolment. |
Qualifications/Requirements of Position | Master’s or Doctorate in Gender and Women’s Studies (or equivalent professional experience) and expertise in women’s movements, activism, and participatory learning methods. Demonstrated experience in some combination of diversity, equity, and global feminist activism. Commitment to interdisciplinary approaches in Gender and Women’s Studies. Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the university level. |
Salary Range/Pay Rate | Per CUPE Collective Agreement |
