The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager of Operations, School for Advanced Digital Technology (SADT), the Operations Analyst is responsible for providing data management and analysis, process improvement, and template design and development support to SADT leadership. This work includes, amongst other items, developing processes and templates for CRMs, creating and maintaining program schedules, completion of SAIT’s data collection utility (DCU), faculty load verification, creating and maintaining an SADT asset tracking process, and supporting SADT’s Leadership team with tracking, analyzing, and reporting School metrics. The incumbent will work with the Dean, Associate Deans, Academic Chairs, the Office of the Registrar, and other internal stakeholders to ensure information is correct and complete. 
This position requires a high degree of self-direction, the ability to set priorities and a responsiveness to the demands of the academic schedule. Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and communications skills are required. This is a demanding position and the incumbent will be expected to take initiative and work independently, with little direction, and with a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and sound judgment.
The Role
    • Program Schedules and Loading (40%)
    • Support the Academic Chairs, Associate Deans and Dean to administer the planning and scheduling process in SADT to ensure effective and efficient scheduling in support student and faculty success.
    • Compile, verify, and analyze scheduling and loading information with the Academic Chairs, Office of the Registrar, and Finance.
    • Support the Associate Deans in planning and analyzing school budget and forecast with respect to program hours, FLEs, and service requests.
    • Enter data accurately and effectively into the data collection utility scheduling software.
    • Liaise with other departments at SAIT to support planning and scheduling initiatives.

    • Data Management and Reporting Support  (40%)
    • Act as primary contact for SADT with various SAIT CRM projects
    • Develop documentation, processes, and materials to support the adoption and utilization of SAIT CRMs
    • Provide required CRM training to SADT stakeholders to support the adoption and utilization of SAIT CRMs. 
    • Track key School metrics in alignment with MOTAY, GOA, and SAIT reporting requirements.
    • Conduct basic quality assurance 
    • Prepare basic data visualizations and reports as requested
    • Conduct preliminary trends analysis
    • Create and maintain an SADT asset tracking process.
    • Conduct research, analyze, and synthesize school information, organizing it into reports to support the Dean and Associate Deans in driving school initiatives

    • Business Analysis and Process Improvement  (20%)
    • Collaborate with leadership and internal stakeholders to refine and enhance processes. 
    • Facilitate & assist in prioritizing requirements. 
    • Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders. 

Qualifications & Experience
    • Minimum Required 
    • Diploma or higher with preference for Business, Finance, or Data related areas
    • Three to Five years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, finance, or information management related roles

    • Preferred 
    • Post-secondary experience

    • Skills Needed
    • Ability to collaborate across teams.
    • Data and/or financial acumen, knowledge of accounting/budgeting/forecasting/planning.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
    • Experience with MS365 and planning and reporting software: Tableau, PowerBI, SharePoint, Project/Planner, Power Automate, or equivalent software
    • Previous experience using Banner and Argos considered an asset
    • Experience working within a distributed/hybrid team setting
