The Opportunity
SAIT is seeking an instructor for the Networking Diploma Program and Network Systems Specialist Fast Track Program. Reporting to the Academic Chair, this position requires specific knowledge and skills as outlined below: 
· Should be well-versed in the core services of at least one major cloud platform such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and have a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). 
· High level of proficiency with developing cloud infrastructure including setting up and configuring compute services, network components, databases, and storage systems, as well as hands-on experience with resource cost analysis, application deployment strategies, container/cluster management, automation and operating workloads. 
· A solid understanding of networking fundamentals including network design/implementation, server administration, network resilience & scalability, VPNs, IP addressing, subnets, firewalls, and network protocols. 
· Should also be knowledgeable about cloud-specific security measures, identity and access management, governance, compliance, and data protection techniques. 
The Role
    • Create a positive learning environment and ensure learning outcomes are met. 
    • Ensure relevant content exists and grades are maintained in the learning management system (LMS). 
    • Prepare lesson plans to ensure classroom success. 
    • Use available resources, tools, techniques, and strategies, to ensure student success. 
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues. 
    • Conduct regular office hours, providing support and guidance to students and responding to their requests in a timely manner. 
    • Demonstrate competencies in leadership, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, and time management.  
    • Complete any assigned training. 
    • Attend meetings, info-sessions and orientations prepared and on time. 

Qualifications & Experience
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure development, with a focus on one or more of the technical skills noted above. 
    • Previous teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience is strongly preferred.
    • Post-secondary education in a related field. 

    • Relevant certifications such as: 
    • Google Cloud Practitioner / Cloud Developer / Cloud Architect 
    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / Solutions Architect / Developer 
    • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Developer 
    • Cisco CCNA Level 1 / Level 2 / Level 3
