Summary:

McGill University Human Resources (HR) has moved forward with the implementation of all core modules of Workday SaaS. A team of Functional Business Analysts (FBA) was established for the operation of the business processes. The members of the FBA team are the subject matter experts of the business processes, and their job is to simplify and standardize the HR management process for both administrative and academic staff. McGill HRIS team is seeking FBA to support, configure and enhance the Benefits module in Workday. The role will be to collaborate and support the set-up and configuration of business processes in Workday to improve McGill HR system functionality and service delivery.

Responsibilities

Implementation:

• Provide professional expertise in the examination and definition of objectives for existing, future systems and on-line educational technologies

• Responsible for delivering quality solutions that will produce the intended project benefits and are aligned with the HR Process Owner for Benefits

• Meet with different stakeholders to gather and document detailed system requirements

• Create test cases and perform system configuration testing and user acceptance testing

• Ensure all changes follow the proper change management process with proper communication and training

Operation:

• Viewed as the specialist in Workday for Benefits Business Processes

• Oversee the adoption of Workday and best practices across McGill’s community for their area (leveraging Workday reports)

• Manage the administration of processes and workflow within their functional area (e.g., monitor approval)

• Perform normal and complex configuration changes as required into Workday to support enhancements (business process, business rules, drop-down list change, etc.)

• Assess new Workday features as they become available and propose recommendations to the McGill Community

• Manage McGill’s roadmap for their functional area

• Act as level 3 support to HR support service center & Benefits and Pension teams.

• Build new Workday reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, computer science, or any other related field
  • Good knowledge of Benefits and HR processes
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the higher education environment and of its HR policies and procedures for both administrative and academic staff
  • Ability to understand process owner needs and requirements and make recommendations as appropriate.  
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.  
  • Team player with ability to partner with peers when integrating functionalities across functional areas.   
  • Bilingualism, English and French, spoken and written.


Minimum Education and Experience:


Bachelor's Degree 3 Years Related Experience /


Annual Salary:


(MPEX Grade 05) $69,430.00 - $86,790.00 - $104,150.00
