Field Operations Assistants

Hiring Unit:

Department of Natural Resource Sciences

Macdonald Campus of McGill University


Position Summary:
Work based out of EcoCenter in Kanesatake. Visit multiple sites per day, and collect water, soil, and plants according to scientific protocols. Need to coordinate with community members to gain access to property. Need to inventory samples at Kanesatake and at McGill's Macdonald Campus.

Schedule will be 35 hours/week for 2-3 week periods during 3 periods: May+June, September, November.


Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

High school diploma with minimal or no experience.  

Must have a connection with Kanesatake First Nations.

Native ancestry preferred.

Kanienkeha considered an asset.

Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
