Schedule Description
DUTIES

Under the direction of the Manager, International Marketing, the Coordinator, International Agents Relations and Communications is responsible for variety of activities related to agents and associates' support and communication. Also, the area of responsibility will focus on research of new markets. The incumbent will work closely with the Coordinator, International Marketing and Divisional Secretary II.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates all activities involving support of TRU agents, associates, and TRU World offices overseas. 
  • Coordinates all activities related to agent workshops, agent visits on TRU campus, and familiarization tours of TRU in cooperation with Coordinator, International Marketing. 
  • Ensures proper follow-up on recruitment missions and agent meetings. 
  • Maintains and updates databases of TRU worldwide contacts including online Agent Manager. 
  • Ensures updated status of agent contracts and associates agreements. Develops and maintains a database of contracts and agreements. 
  • Facilitates on-going communication with agents and associates through information bulletins and online correspondence. 
  • Sources new agents, initiates communication, and verifies references. 
  • Coordinates meetings with agents, associates and partner institutions for individuals going on recruitment missions and overall recruitment mission preparation. Provides up-to-date information on agents for individuals going on recruitment missions. 
  • Works closely with Divisional Secretary II to ensure that agents and institutional partners have sufficient amount of promotional materials and updated information. 
  • Prepares agents' proposals for presentation to TRU World management team. 
  • Assists in development and update of agent manual. 
  • Organizes video conferences with TRU agents, associates and alumni. 
  • Works closely with International Admissions team with regards to agent inquiries, applications and performance.
  • Generates statistical reports regarding agents' performance. 
  • Researches new markets for student recruitment and provides reports on observed trends to the TRU management team.
  • Travel extensively to attend international recruitment events and business meetings.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    • Completion of an undergraduate degree in the area of Marketing, International Business or equivalent


    EXPERIENCE

    • Three years' related experience within a marketing environment including experience in international education or business and cross-cultural relations


    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES RELATED TO THE JOB

    • Strong inter-cultural communication skills and sensitivity to cross-cultural communications.
    • Intermediate working knowledge of database/Customer Relations Management systems
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
    • Ability to deal effectively with others
    • Working knowledge of marketing concepts
    • Detail and deadline oriented, with ability to work both independently and as a team player
    • Ability to coordinate, plan and organize multiple projects, to meet deadlines

    The salary for the above position is determined by the Collective Agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 4879, as it presently exists.
    Pay Band
    $31.18 - $34.65 ( CUPE Grade 09 (90% - 100%) )
    Salary rate
    This Position is not subject to a 90% start rate for new Employees.
