Position Details
The Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education invites applications for a Four-Year Term position in Biomechanics at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin November 1, 2024 and end June 30, 2028, subject to budgetary approval. Hiring salary will be in the range of $79,132 to $94,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are seeking a Biomechanist with expertise in teaching ergonomics. Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. in Biomechanics or a cognate field and will be able to instruct undergraduate courses in biomechanics, and ergonomics; the ability to provide motor behaviour offerings is considered an asset. We seek outstanding candidates with the capability to engage and inspire undergraduate and graduate students in their academic work, and who will show initiative in contributing to the department’s programs and curriculum development. The successful applicant will be expected to establish and maintain an independent, active and externally funded research program.
