SAIT’s Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) focuses on non-credit programs supporting corporate training, the individual learner and international projects. We create courses and programs for life-long learning with careers at our core. Our courses range from exploring general interests to up-skilling for career advancement and reskilling for career changes. We complete all background activities required to set up our products for students to purchase and experience several delivery options.
SAIT is looking for an adjunct instructor to support us with our Continuing Education & Corporate training courses in our International Product Management Program. In this program students will acquire skills in product discovery, vision and strategy including maintaining innovative products and customer bases. They will also dive into Product Marketing Concepts and tools and also learn to retain customers through Customer success management to name a few. Courses in the program will include the following:
Product Orientation
May 6, 2024 to May 10, 2024
8:00am-11:50pm
Applied Product Management
May 13, 2024 to August 1, 2024
8:00am-11:50pm
Role
    • Prepare and present lessons, lectures, assignments, quizzes, exams, lab activities and lab demonstrations for learners if applicable given the course outline
    • Maintain records for the purposes of grading, assessing professionalism and tracking attendance in both theory and lab classes if given the course outline
    • Manage the classroom or lab to ensure a positive learning environment
    • Show personal interest in the learner and create a climate conducive to optimal learning
    • Provide on-going support, guidance and advice to students
    • Attend all SAIT training as required
    • Achievement of School initiatives and Objectives
    • Be an active and engaged member of the School
    • Adhere to all safety legislation, guidelines and safety standards as required
    • Maintain contact with relevant industry sectors
    • All other duties as required for the position

Qualifications
    • Required : 
    • 5 - 10 years of experience in one or all of the following: Product Management, Product Marketing and Customer Success Management
    • Experience conducting user & market research
    • Experience with agile principles
    • Experience and fluency with Office 365 (MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
    • Experience with videoconferencing technology (MS Teams, WebX, Skype or Zoom)
    • Fluent in English reading and vocabulary
    • Comfortable speaking to the public
    • Positive & respectful attitude
    • Ability to read, interpret and deliver specific curriculum
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to organize and present written information 

    • Desired : 
    • Preference to background in Adult Education
    • Training and knowledge of adult learning fundamentals
    • Previous teaching experience preferred
    • Experience with a Learning Management System (Brightspace or Moodle is an asset)Formal training or education in facilitation or teaching
    • Formal training in online technologies
    • Experience with curriculum development or instructional design
