DUTIES

The successful candidate will teach one section of APEC 1620, “Establishing First Nation Governments Tax Rates and Expenditures,” during the Winter 2024 semester.  This is a hybrid section with classroom and online students. Classes will be taught from the Kamloops campus of Thompson Rivers University.   

 

Classes run: April 15-19, 2024.

 

NOTE:  This posting pertains to one section of Applied Economics (APEC) 1620.

 

Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada and be prepared to deliver classes at the Kamloops campus of Thompson Rivers University.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Economics (required); a PhD in Economics is strongly preferred
• Community teaching, research and/or service associations with Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc or other Indigenous communities in Canada (required)
• Documented experience in First-Nations taxation issues (required)
• Relevant post-secondary teaching experience with evidence of strong teaching skills is preferred
