Offer Description

The Science for Development Center in Digital Agriculture – CCD-AD/SemeAr opens a post-doctoral position for the period of two years, in the area of rural extension. The post-doctoral fellow, with exclusive dedication, will be based at the “Luiz de Queiroz” School of Agriculture (Esalq/USP).

We are looking for a specialist in rural extension, with a focus on disseminating knowledge and technology to small and medium-sized farmers, with experience in sustainable agriculture, agricultural technologies, agricultural management, rural development and community extension. The candidate must have completed a PhD within the last 7 years. The chosen candidate will develop intervention strategies on rural properties, focusing on digital rural development, as well as preparing reports and technical/scientific publications.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
