Offer Description
Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship to work in the State University of Campinas's Hematology and Transfusion Center (HEMOCENTRO UNICAMP) in Brazil, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fernando F. Costa. The selected candidate will investigate the role of inflammatory mechanisms in processes of iron deposition induced by intravascular hemolysis.
Candidate requirements:
Required:
- Ph.D. (completed in the last 5 years) in Medical Pathophysiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology or similar area;
- Fluency (written and oral) in English (Interview will be conducted in English);
- Proven experience in handling and carrying out experimental procedures in animal models;
- Experience in flow cytometry, ELISA, histology and immunochemical techniques.
Very desirable: Experience in imaging flow cytometry (Amnis etc), intravital microscopy.

The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 per month and a research contingency fund equivalent to 10% of the annual fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
