Post-doc in large-scale structure and cosmology with quasars at the University of Sao Paulo

We invite applications for a post-doctoral position to work on cosmology and large-scale structures. Preference will be given to candidates with interest and/or experience in quasar cosmology, structure formation, machine learning, survey target selection, numerical tools (simulations and mocks) and the halo-galaxy connection. Successful applicants will work in close collaboration with Raul Abramo (USP), and will be able to join a number of international consortia such as J-PAS, WEAVE-QSO, S-PLUS and PFS.

This 2+1 year position is funded by a FAPESP grant, with salaries of R$ 9,047 / EUR 1,600 (EUR 3,600 during the months spent abroad), all tax free. The starting date is negotiable, with a preference for the second half of 2024. The fellowship includes a grant to cover travel and equipment, as well as the possibility of extended periods to be spent with collaborators at partner institutions in Europe.
