About the lab

The SWITCH Laboratory is one of the leading laboratories in human disease-related protein aggregation. It is an interdisciplinary workplace, bringing together about 25 researchers from different backgrounds, such as bioinformatics, biophysics and cell biology. SWITCH has a unique platform of technologies for studying protein aggregation, including biophysical, ultrastructural and cell biological instrumentations. Your Job

We are engaged in the development of novel therapeutic for protein aggregation diseases, including neurodegeneration (eg. Alzheimer’s as well as diseases outside the brain (amyloidoses). For this effort, we are looking for a technician that can focus on the cell culture experiments: from growing of cells, to treatment experiments with our novel molecules, to biochemical and microscopic readouts, including with the automated high content microscope.


Profile
  • A Master in Biomedical Sciences or similar by experience
  • Extensive experience with cell culture work
  • Experience with microscopy and biochemical techniques.
  • Experience in cloning, genome editing, viral expression is a plus.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, critical and creative
  • The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team is a must
  • Prior experience with high content analysis is a plus
