About the lab
Our laboratory focuses on the mechanisms by which cancer-specific non-mutational (i.e. epigenetic and (post-) transcriptional) events shape tumour evolution. Using innovative cellular (3D tumor (co)-cultures) and genetic tools (including genetically engineered mouse models and patient-derived tumor xenografts) and applying cutting-edge technologies (single-cell and spatial transcriptomics and proteomics) the Marine lab has made several key contributions to our understating of melanoma biology and, in particular, the mechanisms underlying melanoma initiation, growth, metastatic dissemination, the emergence of inter-and intra-tumor heterogeneity, plasticity and resistance to therapy.
Position
We are looking for a Lab Manager to join our team and participate in the general organization/management of the laboratory and in the coordination of both fundamental and translational cancer research projects. The lab manager will have the opportunity to play both leadership and supportive roles in various academic and industrial projects. The successful candidate will coordinate wet-lab and animal/mouse experiments, design, interpret, present and report own research projects, assist lab members in their research, and supervise the work of master students and technicians. Planning and troubleshooting of experiments as well as excellent laboratory management are expected.

- You have experience with cellular and molecular biology techniques.
- You have Felasa B or C certificate to work with animals.
- You have experience in day-to-day management in a research environment and are willing to support the other scientists on the team, with problem-solving capabilities.
