We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 50,103.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.

  • Completed diploma or master’s degree in the area of global contemporary history with very good results
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken German and English
  • Knowledge of at least one other foreign language from level B2 on
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • Scientific curiosity and interest in working on current research questions
  • Independent working style and high level of initiative
  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills
  • Experience abroad
  • Interest in global history research
  • Knowledge of Latin American or African history (desirable)

  • Participation in activities and research projects of the area of contemporary history
  • Teaching courses in the bachelor’s programme History and Teacher Education for History, Social Studies and Political Education
